Four Seasons Boston reveals new lobby, restaurant & amenities

As the spring season brings Boston’s iconic Public Garden back to life, the doors of the Four Seasons Hotel Boston are swinging open to a new chapter of luxury hospitality. The city’s leading luxury address has just undergone a striking design overhaul, masterminded by AD100 designer Ken Fulk, that includes a dramatic transformation of the arrival area, lobby, and porte cochere. This enchanting new look sets the tone for a fresh era of unforgettable stays, memorable events, and cherished moments in the heart of Back Bay.

Michael Pedder, General Manager of Four Seasons Hotel Boston, celebrates the hotel’s resurgence: “We are delighted to begin the next chapter of Four Seasons Hotel Boston and introduce an updated vision of luxury that evokes the character and rich history of Back Bay. We look forward to welcoming guests to our reimagined Hotel.”

Stepping into a World of Intimate Grandeur

The reimagination of the Four Seasons Hotel Boston encapsulates the timeless allure of the hotel and the grandeur of the neighbouring Public Garden. Fulk has seamlessly blended inspiration from the historic Beacon Hill and Back Bay residences with the hotel’s unique locale, creating an environment reminiscent of a grand residence overlooking stately grounds. The arrival experience has been revamped to visually connect the hotel with the historic garden, with a striking black-and-white-tiled entry court that guides guests to the sanctuary of the new lobby.

Inside, guests are treated to a sense of residential grandeur, with the expansive lobby redesigned into a series of intimate spaces. An exquisite new front desk, crafted in tooled leather, serves as the perfect backdrop for an original artwork depicting the Public Garden. An impressionist-inspired mural captures the serene beauty of the garden, the key-holding swan, and the swan boats on the lagoon, inviting guests, especially young ones, into a whimsical world of exploration and enchantment.

A Timeless Retreat from Dawn to Dusk

The hotel offers an array of inviting lobby-level spaces designed for enjoyment from the early morning until the late evening. The newly introduced Coterie, a lounge and restaurant, serves as an intimate retreat from the world outside. Echoing Boston’s rich history as a hub for thinkers and creators, Coterie is a place where ideas can be shared over Executive Chef Patrice Martineau’s traditional fare, classic and signature cocktails, a custom botanical gin created exclusively for Four Seasons Hotel Boston, and honey from the hotel’s rooftop hives.

The Library, situated opposite Coterie, offers a quiet sanctuary adorned with rich velvet seating, while the new Sottovento, a gourmet coffee bar, is the go-to spot for coffee-lovers and early birds. Guests can even avail of the Hotel’s new Coffee Concierge service to have their custom coffee delivered right to their rooms.

Four Seasons Hotel Boston also welcomes back Aujourd’hui, the second-floor breakfast restaurant with mesmerizing panoramic views of the Public Garden, and introduces Sanctuary, a serene garden terrace for quiet reading or alfresco dining. The popular refreshment pantries, known as The Vaults, are also making a return, offering complimentary snacks, treats, and beverages to Hotel guests 24 hours a day.
